Our goalies suck. Sure, we have Price, but you'd like some else in the system, no ?
Yemelin, an Diaz are 25. Engqvist is 24. Nash is 23.

Leblanc, Kristo are our best forward prospects followed by potential long shots, with good potential in Avitsin and Gallagher. I'm not too high on Palushaj. Nattinen is a good prospect for us. 6'2, hits, right handed shot and wins faceoffs.

Conboy is better than Schultz.

If the habs can manage to keep their 1st and 2nd, I think our prospect pool next year could look respectable.

Though, Subban, Weber and Eller just graduated. Well, David Desharnais and Ryan White, too ? It's not too bad with the young guys, but still...

The defense and goalies are strong, goalies especially, but forwards are quite weak. Very strong on the RW, but extremely weak on the left side (Only 2 real LWs there) and at center, with Glennie the only NHL caliber prospect there IMO

But just how good is the NYI Prospect pool? The fellas on the Isles board are saying top 5-10. Truthfully, I just don't know enough about other teams prospects to judge against the NYI. After nearly 20 years of being a fan, it's very strange to me that the NYI have a very good prospect pool. Sure Dinglebury had a bunch of great prospects, but they were never given a chance to succeed on LI.

ETA: I didn't see a Coyotes prospect team in this thread, so I'll give it a try...

Brett MacLean (?) - Andy Miele - Jordan Szwarz
Lucas Lessio - Ethan Werek - Brett Hextall
Kale Kessy - Chris Brown - Phil Lane
Darian Dziurzynski - Alexander Ruuttu - Andrew Fritsch
Colin Long

Brandon Gormley - Connor Murphy
Maxim Goncharov - Chris Summers
Michael Stone - Tyler Eckford
Justin Weller

Mark Visentin
Louis Domingue
Good enough. The list is shortened by the 45 game rule. We still consider Turris, Boedker, Tikhonov, and OEL prospects at this point. Our forward depth is pretty pathetic, but our defense is amazing. I like our goalies too but that position is so unpredictable.

do you even know who Charlie Coyle is? He was ranked the 13th OVERALL best prospect by The Hockey News and you put him third line behind players most people have never heard of?

While I wouldn't put him behind Wellman, Bulmer, and Haula, it's not a stretch to put Phillips and Zucker ahead of him (WCHA rookie of the year > CCHA rookie of the year). There's absolute no question about Granlund being ahead of him though (HF's #10 Granlund vs #20 Coyle).

In terms of an actual game lineup (not just depth):

:wild

Jason Zucker - Mikael Granlund - Brett Bulmer
Casey Wellman - Zach Phillips - Erik Haula
Colton Gillies - Johan Larsson - Charlie Coyle
Mario Lucia - Cody Almond - Carson McMillian

Jonas Brodin - Marco Scandella
Nate Prosser - Justin Falk
Tyler Cuma - Chay Genoway

Matt Hackett
Darcy Kuemper

Zucker - Granlund - Coyle
Phillips - Wellman - Bulmer
Gilles - Almond - Haula
Lucia - Larsson - McMillian

I'd rather see Phillips on the wing, and Coyle definitely is better than 3rd line.

I dig that top 6. That is a ton of talent on two lines.

That's a lot of skill.

It's not absurd, but it's definitely a stretch. Coyle is 6'2, 210, which is a lot better than Zucker at 5'10, 175.

If Coyle is the 20th best prospect in hockey (all outstanding draft years) and Phillips was the 24th pick in this year's draft, doesn't that suggest Coyle is significantly better/more proven.

Every GM in the league would take Coyle over Phillips.

Granlund is definitely the best prospect in the Wild organization.

Overall a solid, diverse group. A couple blue chippers in Tarasenko and Schwartz, some Euros with good upside (Grachev, Wannstrom, Lehtera, Jaskin), some North Americans with a good shot at becoming solid contributors (Allen, Cole, Rattie). We are probably thinnest at defense (outside of Cole, they are unproven and tend to be one-dimensional in their abilities) and center (McRae is far from a sure thing, no guarantee Grachev or Lehtera ever play a game in a Blues jersey)
