PORTLAND – The Maine Legislature is getting involved in the ongoing dispute between the Portland Pirates and Cumberland County Civic Center in an attempt to end the stalemate that might bring the American Hockey League team back to the place where it’s called home for the last 20 years.

Bill sounds like a nice option (sharing liquor revenue) to have. But there are other issues as well.

those other issues are minor compared to the State Law, LS, which is why the litigation blew up the way it did in August, and forced both sides to move on for this season.

the Pirates have to be the liquor licensee, not just sharing the revenue, which is where that lease broke down, and the 66/34 revision which the franchise never signed.

the Pirates were seeking an equivalent to 57.5%.
