This isn't the NHL, there is no trade without a deal, and he risks injury if he waits.Mack is going to get paid regardless so I could see him hesitating to sign an extension with the Bears and waiting until free agency.

I think if Trubisky is good they are a playoff team. No, but it's a hockey board , hence why I used the analogy of a club with unrealistic expectations.
The Bears aren't going to win their division in the next two years. I'm not convinced they're even a playoff team.
Cheers.
McKenzie has no power in Oakland. It's all Davis and Gruden.

I agree. Not like they got R. Smith as part of the deal. Getting 1 guy who can help now. There better is an impact roster player coming back along with those picks. Why not just trade him before the draft if they were that far apart on a contract?
Sigh.

Better than sending him to GB where the picks would come later in the draft. Chicago should be better than last season but don’t see them as a playoff team in the NFC with the quality of the South and North likely to get 2 playoff teams each.
Up to the raiders to hit on those picks.
Plus injuries can change the fortunes of any team, like GB last season and what happeneded to Seattle’s defense. How do you know? The NFL is the toughest league to predict.
you absolutely give up two 1st rounders for a guy like mack if you're chicago
raiders clearly didn't want to give mack a massive contract. not too surprised but i would've thought they'd want to lock him up for the move to vegas. he's a guy people come to watch
I said that a couple weeks ago, the only way Mack would be traded is if Davis literally doesn't have the money.Mark Davis is broke. That's why.
No surprise right? Best player on Defense is dealt for no help this season. The players would be less upset if the deal returned Smith and 1st in say 2020, than 2 first rounders and say a 2nd.Raiders players are not taking too kindly to the trade on twitter

you think bears aren't going to tag him 3 times (2 times franchise, one transition) after giving up two 1st rounders + for him?
