Dvo is apparently a back issue... carried over from the end of last season.

I agree. From what I have seen it's back or hip/s, or hip/s causing back issues. A post suggesting different, or a new injury was surprising to me.

(A broken leg is probably one of the not disastrous scenarios, I have of course no intel whatsoever.)

I've seen too many people with such extensive swelling that definitive exam/imaging/or surgery is delayed until the swelling resolves.

I've also experienced this.

Sports hernia would be disastrous. A sports hernia is what hampered Claude Giroux for 2 years and caused his dip in production. Now that he is completely over it he looks like his usual self....2 and a half years later.

It is possible his knee swelled up the next day. Could be a back injury that flared up. My guess is the knee. Waiting for swelling to go down. All at this time is pure guess.

Did you hear this? A few weeks isn't...terrible i guess. Season starts in 2 weeks, if you're hearing a few weeks that hopefully means less than a month, or they could've just said a month lol.

Maybe just misses a week of the regular season?
