It was reported in today's Times and Transcript that Tkachev is coming to Moncton 100 % if he doesn't sign a deal in the KHL which his agent considered a bit of a stretch as an undersized 18 year old forward.

Dont know what your source is but I am sure he has valid contract with Avangard, playing for senior team and today for juniors.

Furthermore, Tkachyov played on the second line in today's season opener. 2 shots, 13.24 TOI

13 minutes isn't a lot for the second line. Who were his linemates ?

On the KHL website it say that he played on the 2nd with Zaborsky and Frolov.

Zaborsky played 17:43 and Frolov played 17:32 ... So maybe Tkachev didn't play in PP or he just skiped like 4-5 shift...

I don't know if they have the intention to keep him but he didn't play the two last game.

Btw, I really like him, I think he can go around 35-45 at the draft if he have a good year...

Petri Matikainen (Avangard's head coach):

Vladimir Tkachyov is sent down to the MHL. <...> Tkachyov is a skillfull player, but he still lacks experience in defense. (He) has good chances to make the regular roster in future.

Well Moncton's season started today, Im sure they will try to fill their import position soon. Whether Tkachyov decides to make the jump will probably happen soon.

Tkachyov didn't make it to the U-20 NT final roster for the 4 nation tournament, but I think the chances are high that he will go to Subway Superseries, as a lot of KHL based guys will not go there.

He looks great in game one of the Subway Super Series so far. I'm really curious as to where (if anywhere) a highly skilled 140lb Russian will go in the draft.

Great skater. High, high end hands

He still looks like he's 15, pretty physically underdeveloped, heck of a skill level though that's for sure.

One of the QMJHL reporters says the Wildcards are still hopeful he will get released by his KHL team...

Les #Wildcats espèrent toujours la libération de Vladimir Tkachev. Une équipe de la KHL a ses droits. Tout un but hier soir contre la LHJMQ.

Why in the world should they release him?
