Seems to be having a sophomore slump, just recently got his first goal of the season. We'll see if he picks it up now.

I mean, he is right there with Crouse, Senyshyn, Zboril, Svechnikov, White in terms of AHL production. Not going to say I watch all of those guys closely to compare how they are impacting that game but a good chunk of players picked after him are in a similar position.

Really Bruins fan ? The biggest reach in the 2015 draft ? You're sure about that ?
Guess its playing out that way, as he is the biggest reach, taken earlier with worse stats then Seny. His 7 pts in 18 games vs Senyshyns 9 in 16, dayum facts suck eh.

That's not what reach means. A bigger bust ? Maybe, we'll see. A bigger reach ? Nah. Gurianov was actually projected as a 1st rounder on lists. Picking a 3rd rounder in the 1st is a reach regardless of whether the player eventually succeeds in the NHL or not.

Ok well maybe he is a trending towards being a bust then. Seny was rumoured to be going to the Leafs or Wings late in the 1st. Either grab him or lose him to a division rival and maybe they do not get Carlo in the 2nd. Most lists had Seny going in the 2nd round not the third. Third round starts out at 62, no one had him in that range at all, lol.

Seny had stats to back it up, 87 goals his last 2 yrs in Major Junior, top 3 in that time period, voted best skater over McDavid. Most lists had Denis going in the late first round, in the 20's, bit of a gamble if not a reach. Hockey Futures has him a 'D' rated probability of success, Seny 'C'. Denis had a good world juniors before that he was a mystery, not much of a point getter, after that he never put up points agian, more of a one and done. He never scored more then 15 goals, just not seeing the reason for those listing him so high. That is the serious flaw with only checking out stats of one tourney and basing it all on that. Same as writers voting for trophies, most look at stats and may have never seen a guy on either coast.

So much wrong with your post dude. WJC was AFTER Dallas drafted him. No point responding to the rest.

Definitely a bit of a concern with his start but just about all the kids in Texas started off with a struggle other than Dickinson. So yeah its concerning but Ill wait it out too see how he looks once Texas starts to look better. Still bitter that we didnt nab Barzal but whats done is done and I have to hope for the best with DG. Hes got a great attitude which helps but we need more from him

So he put up pretty much nothing stats till he was drafted, scoring what 4 , 5 goals a year, now we are back in the reach category. No justification for his ranking's at all, what a joke the whole system is. Maybe if he played Junior in Canada and showed what he could do versus his age group for a few years. He had his one and only jump after he was drafted then fell back down. You are right no use continuing on with this, keeps getting worse. Well hopefully for you guys he justifies this reach, who knows he has the size and did it once, maybe he finally puts it together. More then Likely a KHL lifer like a few have said. heck its a gamble after the top 2 picks anyways, not many stick or become anything, good luck,

I'm glad you can go on HockeyDB or EliteProspects are grade prospects based on their point totals. Luckily NHL teams employ scouts to go and actually watch players rather than use your method.

Started pretty bad last season too and started to turn it on around December/January.

Talented player, I still think he might figure it out. Reminiscent of Chris Kreider with less of the PWF elements and a better shot. Guryanov will get a lot of breakaways due to his skating, it'll happen at all levels. There aren't many who can skate with him.
