Mahkovec is an under the radar prospect for this years draft from Slovenia. Has good offensive instincts and is a strong skater, particularly his edges. He does a good job anticipating play and is usually driving the offence for his team. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out for the kid.

Don’t think that’s controversial at all. Mahkovec posesses skating ability Hauf can only dream of, Mahkovec got better as the season progressesed too.

I’ll be interested to see if he goes CHL.

After going undrafted, Mahkovec has moved to Sweden and to play in AIK‘s development system.

I haven’t seen him play so far but his statline is impressive so far - 3+3 for 6 points in 3 games.

I still think someone should have picked him with a late round pick.
