He is old enough where production is expected.
I was very impressed by his play in the AHL. So his success this season isn't too surprising.

Unfortunately Chekhovich injured his back in training, so he is likely out of the WJC.
Chekhovich with a monster performance this morning. 7 points on two goals and five assists in an 11-3 win, beating his previous record of five points in a game easily.
Him not getting onto the Russian team was such a stupid move, especially since he's already healthy. That team needed a player like him.
Oh man 2+5 in one game. Those are be a pro like numbers from an nhl game. Crazy!
So far he has 101 points this season. What an absolute animal. There is little hype about him. Next year he will have a killer AHL season.
Sounds more like a person under pressure than an idiot. From Chekhovich’s interview it sounds like he failed to inform the training staff he was dealing with reoccuring back problems; then proceeded to injure himself during weight training.
Idiot.
He's put himself under that pressure though. So... idiot.Sounds more like a person under pressure than an idiot.
