Went fourth overall to the Windsor Spitfires in the 2021 OHL draft. Miedema is a big, skilled forward that can really drive offence at the OHL level. He has very good puck skills with a knack of being in the right spots at the right times. He sees the ice real well and can flutter a pass most anywhere on the ice. He is not a real sexy skater however and there Has been some questions about his dedication to getting better. We’ll see how things progress for the kid.

Dude is huge 6 foot 4 / 201 lbs winger at 16 years old.

Had a really strong OHL debut, in the preseason: 4 point game (1 goal and 3 primary apples) 4 shots on goal and was +2.
- 5-4 W vs Sarnia Sting (assisted 1 Ryan Abraham, 17, goal, Jackson McLlwain, 18, goal and 1 Kyle McDonald, 19, goal)

Spitfires next game is against Sarnia Sting again, this Sunday.

He’ll be a first round pick next year, one of the more well rounded prospects to step into the OHL in a while. Big frame with elite skill and IQ, he would be a kid who could go first round if he were eligible for the 2022 draft, better than a lot of Ontario 04’s already.

Its crazy that at 6'3" he is able to do this. The fact hes very good skater and his hands are able to keep up to his feet at his size is nuts.

Coached him in a couple summer tourneys when he was 11-12. Great kid, always very confident In his abilities and was always a sniper, then he grew and kept the skill. Looks like a potential 1 st rounder. Happy to see it. He played a on a good AAA Quinte team growing up. It’s too bad they lost their minor midget year. All the best to Ethan!
