I don't think they will scratch Gudbranson for Schenn when they already have injuries, but Gudbranson has to feel the pressure.
With this many top-10 picks on defense, there's no way we can lose.

I actually quite like Schenn. Remember him being a gutsy 18-year old trying to force his way onto the Leafs. Good cautionary tale about rushing prospects. I'll be interested to see what he can still bring to the game.
Honestly, he could probably help steady this defense. The Canucks can't complete an outlet pass so his lack of speed shouldn't hurt anything.

...Luke Schenn here. We also have Gudbranson and Sutter on the team (although injured)... still funny how that would be "great" 7 years ago.

I bet there'll be a huge difference. It's not a coincidence that every defenseman that plays with Gud plays noticeably worse. Gud just puts his partners in vulnerable situations by not being able to move the puck up effectively and not being in good positions to take passes.
If Green does scratch Gudbranson, we should hold a celebration.

When Schenn was acquired I thought he could fill in that role as a #7 allowing Guddy to be dealt. Only question is who is desperate enough to take him.

Seriously, if this was 2012 and the team had just draft Pouliot with Gudbranson and Schenn already in the fold, we would have been saying the team has the best up and coming D-core in the entire league.
