"A high energy player who can really shoot the puck. Has very good acceleration and fluid stride. Gets to the loose pucks and has good instincts where to go with it. Long term project who needs to build strength. His puck smarts alone will garnish him consideration."

These are the type of picks you make late in the draft.

Very very good pick. Could be a major steal in the 6th round, he could have gone in the 3rd or 4th tbh

These are also the kind of picks other teams have been making all draft lol

Good. Swinging for the fences. Not drafting players we can give a god damned camp tryout to next week.

Another puck ripper. Definitely prefer these kind of picks to the low upside guys they were taking in the 6th and 7th last year.

What a change from the 6th round last year. I am very happy to see a swing for the fences pick here. It's like all our complaining and worry was for nothing.

High energy is another term for aggressive in my mind. Benning wants his forwards to be able to be aggressive in one way or another (physically or offensively).

this is a sexy fancy stats pick. Canucks Army PCS model has him as a sleeper. their stats model compares him favourable to the twins.

"Most skilled guy still on the board in the 6th round." -Benning

Time will tell but at least a nice 180 from last year.

Love it.

Skill trumps character late in the draft. Has he been reading this board?

Poor Ron Delorme. Completely neutered on draft day. Looks like his days could be numbered in Vancouver.

Not a lot out of the OHL either, which is a reversal from recent years.

Along with Zhukenov, do people think we could see him get selected in the CHL Import Draft and come over next year?

Another puck ripper. Definitely prefer these kind of picks to the low upside guys they were taking in the 6th and 7th last year.

I seriously don't know how those guys even got drafted, how they were even on their scouting lists, they were the 1st cuts at rookie camp, which signalled to me that they were mistakes and they knew it, but then somehow Stewart actually got signed, I've no idea how that happened.
