More like an AHLer paid like a mediocre 1st liner.I'd say he's more like a below average 4th liner with the contract of a very bad 1st liner.

Has more assists than James "the fakest of deals" Neal on the year.

Flames won the deal though because if he was still in Calgary Neal would be benched and spending games clogging arena toilets with huge logs.
No, I think worst its fair. If top 5 worst makes you feel better , well ya, feel goodnot even close. Flames fans have been ok with how he has played so far. Sure we would like some goals but overall he's been solid. Worst player in the league is just stupid observation to make.
Funny seeing him give through the leg passes and side stepping guys, when now he looks like he's skating with a piano on his back.Great video!! Man was he good in his prime. Sad he was a shell of his former self in Edmonton and now Calgary.
Come on. Ive heard hes been good, real good these last 2 games.Funny seeing him give through the leg passes and side stepping guys, when now he looks like he's skating with a piano on his back.
Head to head.

Winner: Lucic
Lucic currently leads this matchup 2 to 1.
The Kings sure turned things around once Lucic left.
What makes him a locker room cancer? I've never heard anything of the sort regarding Lucic. Seems like there's plenty of negative things to say about his play and contract.
The flames have t allowed a single goal while Lucic was on the ice these last two games. He’s a shutdown specialist
No one is ignoring it, but it wasn't even 4 games it was 3. Something like 4, 2 & 1 with one 0 goals. It's like someone scoring 6 goals in 1 game and at 10 games still having 6 goals and saying he's on pace for 48 goals. The one game is an outlier, like Gagner's 8 point night.
His current pace since those 3 games projected over a season is 16 goals.
He's not getting 40+ goals. More likely 25ish, given he's already at 12, which is still far above what was expected of him.
On pace to barely crack double digits, it would be a career low for him. When does he usually pick up his performance? Do you see him getting better as the season goes on?
Right now he looks to be the most expensive player in the league for such low production. Are there any other 3rd liners in the league who are paid more than this guy? You honestly can't tell me that a minor call up making league minimum on a 2 way deal, isn't capable putting up more than 3 points on the Flames 3rd line after 21 games this season. Hathaway (who they got rid of) would have 3pts on the Flames 3rd line and he's much cheaper than Lucic, plus he is more physical.
Would his point production be up if he was on the Flames top line playing with Monahan and Gaudreau? Possibly but it's not like he's playing with scrubs on the 3rd line. IMO he should be on the 4th line.
Compared to Monahan and Gaudreau he is. Think they were each -7 in those two games...
11 points is really low even for a “4th line energy guy.” And those kind of players usually are lucky to make more than 6 figures. He is a 4th line energy guy, his salary is high but we all wish our salary was higher.

Was the last two games the ones he was suspended for ? My attempt at a joke might have been off by a few games
Karma for the worlds biggest spot picker and nut shotter
No Lucic hasn’t been suspended recently. His line was the only one that showed up last night.
He certainly isn’t worth his salary, but he’s also far from being the Flames’ biggest problem.
