This is hilarious. Benning really is an open book. Myers, Ferlund, Lucic, these were all targets that people predicted benning would go after months and months ago and it turns out it's actually 100% correct.

As I said, those of us putting this numbers out there were basing things off prior seasons’ markets. Instead the market completely collapsed and a 27 y/o UFA in Dzingel who just scored 56 points only received a $6.5 million total contract. In 2016, he gets $30 million.

We didn’t call the market collapse that skewed the numbers downward a bit but did call basically everything Benning did this summer outside of the Miller deal (I expected another UFA signing like Nyquist or Johansson instead).
