You can stay in Canada then for 50 million. I will stay in California and take the 1.6 billion as a 580 million payout less federal tax , no state tax taken in this state for lottery winners. I can then live very nicely just off the interest I make on my money.

I was at 7-11™ this morning and I noticed (if you see my snapchat) that the powerball was 660m and the Mega Millions was 999m (the sign doesn't go that high, but it is 1.6 billion)

Imagine winning both lotteries

My office pool almost won last Tuesday when it was a measly 667 million. Still literally sick over being one digit away.

The Mega Millions jackpot is moving closer to $1 billion after Tuesday night's drawing went without a winner.
The winning numbers in the $865 million drawing were 10, 19, 26, 28, 50 and Mega Ball 16. The cash-only lump sum was $638.8 million. Eleven tickets matched five numbers, according to the Mega Millions website, including a pair of $2 million winners in Florida.

The combined value of the next two huge Mega Millions and Powerball multi-state lottery jackpots is an estimated $1.7 billion.

The next drawings will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is an estimated $730 million with a cash option of $546 million. It’s potentially the fifth-largest in U.S. lottery history.
