Crazy that McDavid has as many assists as Josi does points.

Another important game if we want to claw our way back. We'd be two points back from them with a win.

From one Canadian welfare them to another... how many first picks has this org just sunk into oblivion? And all the prop up media ink spilled at the alter of McDavid when hockey is THE team sport among the pro leagues is just pathetic propaganda. f*** these guys.

Hard to believe that the team that has the 1st and 2nd place players in the points race is only 16th in the league in goals for/game. If we can successfully neutralize McDavid and Draisaitl, then I like our chances. We will absolutely have to stay out of the box though. Their powerplay is lethal (29.3%).

Get ready for some bullshit calls. The refs will hand this game to EDM if we let them.

McDavid and Drisital(sp?) are, no doubt, star players. But I’d make 2 points:
1. The NHL referees are picky when someone touches a star player especially playing for a Canadian based team. Watch for cheap penalties.
2. Assists are handed out rather loosely to superstars.(Ref: Crosby) Just being on the ice gets them consideration.

The current temp here in Nashville is 60. It's currently -23 in Edmonton. IT'S 83 DEGREES WARMER HERE!

Later tonight could go as low as -38. That's insane!

Also this is what our most effective line combinations have been this season. JOFA for whatever reason doesn't work anymore so continuing to try it because it was magic in the past is silly.

They got too comfortable playing together and stopped working so hard. Both Forsberg and Johansen need to be placed with linemates that will make them look bad if they're not working hard enough.

Big 4-point game tonight. Go Perds!

Gotta admit, as tough as it was to watch this team in the first half of the season, I'm kind of liking how every game is now so important for making a late playoff push. It's been a while since the regular season had this much meaning on a nightly basis.

The JOFA line went through Arvy and he's been banged up a couple times since they were really clicking (last seaspn with the broken thumb and this with the lower back). Without him creating chaos, you're right. It isn't the same.

Ugh. This is when you remember we've only scored 1 goal in the last 5+ periods...
