Confirmed with Link: Looks like Jason Spezza will be wearing #19 with the Leafs

Some wondered if Petan would give his number up or not, but Spezza is sporting #19 on his Maple Leafs helmet starting at 2:09 in this interview with Mark Masters at a charity hockey event in Brampton. It will be the 1st time Spezza has worn #19 since 2012-2013 when he was in Ottawa as he wore #90 for 5 years with Dallas.

As Leafs fans we remember all too much about the magical plays he'd make with Alfie and Heatley, that line was just flat out unfair at times.

Spezza tore us up every time we played 2005-2010, but he hasn't been that player for a long time now, don't get your hopes up. He is obviously a way better option than Gauthier though.
