Looking for a new center

After Jets get rid of Statsny there is no other options than hire new center for 2nd line or otherwise we won't be contender this season. Any suggestions?

Still, realistically we're a playoff team regardless. Why drop cash we may not really have now when we can roll with what we have and address any possible weak spot at or before the deadline

Going into the 17-18 seasons all you heard was “little is the most underrated player in the NHL”.

Going into the 18-19 season “Little is a washed up has been, we need a 2C”

Sheifele doesn't know how to play with laine either he gave up after a week and went back with wheeler. Laine needs to get better at a lot of things . Copp is barely a 4th liner let alone a second line option. Neither is roslovic next year or petan ever.

Who is plan C. Because those are both going to fail if its a 2C line with Laine and Ehlers. we need to end Ehlers and Laine. Forget about Little. Seperate those 2. And it solves a lot. Go with a 1/ 2A 2B..... better yet split up line 1 as well. You need to balance 3 lines in todays NHL. Loading up does not work anymore.

That's silly. No way of knowing how either will perform, but both have upside - and far more than anyone on the UFA market.

It's amazing how little faith people are willing to put in the young ones. Play Petan with skilled players, and they become better. He can't carry a line though. Likewise, Roslovic was over a point-per-game in the AHL last year. They deserve another chance, and I'm not talking about on the 4th Line with Tanev and Thorburn.

Bryan Little is a good 2 C. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up more points then Stastny next year.

Little and Lowry's line take almost all the tough match up anyways

Petan and Roslo needs to take the next step.
Though Petan got 2 chances already.

Ride the team that got them to were they last year.

This is a stronger team going to opening game compared to last year opening game.

Ehlers and Laine can be split apart. Perreault - Little - Ehlers was dominant at times. The vets can be split apart too. Jets are lite on options.

I think Ehlers playoff performance speaks for its self. And Laine ..... 0 ES points against Preds and Knights..... that is with the godly Stastny as well.

We will be alright as long as there is no ELL. Even PLE was a good line. We were a top team without Stastny. Yes we needed him
To get by Preds but we will adjust and add to whatever hole we need to fill at the deadline when we have space. The Blues added ROR and Bozak. They have a decent 1/2/3 now. Bozak is still not better then Little.

Now on to Little.... still pretty strong defensively, and a top faceoff guy in the NHL. Can also play wing. Can PK. And on an off year with 2 young guys, one of which is useless 5V5 he got 16 goals/ 44 points. That is 2nd and then 3rd line mins. 2PP... some Jets fans obviously don't know what a 3rd line centre is. Because that is a 2C. May be an average 2C, but still a 2C. Even if he goes and plays the same this year, a tad more puck luck which he didn't get and not playing with ELL and he is still a 20 goal/ 50 point guy. Book it. And that is if he stays the same. I see him rebounding and coming more prepared/fit. Maybe he learned he needs to change off season training now that he is getting older. Jets fans act like Little was a liability and put up 10 goals 30 points

Petan? Dano? Lenieux? Trade? I dunno but id imagine if they keep him Nic gets a shot. He'd be decent there.. Vesa? Options for sure. Appleton even.

You know when you get to be a 2nd line Centre. When you can prove you can be a good 3rd line centre. Roslovic looks like he will be given that chance this year to be a 3rd line centre. He is a long way away from replacing little. Rest assured little will be our 2nd line centre next year.
