with the rule changes, Buffalo won the lottery despite the low odds, so the odds for the worst team in the league to win the lotto back to back is low

also, prior to Dahlen, the last time the worst team won the lotto was Edmonton in 2011 w/ RNH

basically, as a gambler, i'm not liking these odds

Remember when they were so close to the first pick in 08 and they just had to win the last game of the season to bump to number 2....Guess we are back to the same place. 2nd pick worked out great but I'm hoping for first overall.

That said, I wouldn't mind one of Hughes, Kakko, Dach, or Cozens.

Take a look at the mocks linked above, no defenseman in the Top 5, obviously the draft is 7 months away, this would not be a time to reach, but things can change.
