They loss this game in that very first period of this 3-2 game won by Barrie, only three shots in the first and they tried flexing their muscles throwing themselves off their game to allow the Colts taking over the momentum.

When you have a bottom team playing a top team you can bet the lower team will have something to prove everytime and if the bigger team is not ready and they give them a little sniff at a momentum they will take it and run with it every time (ex. Flint over Zoo - Gatineau over Ottawa -Kitchener over Guelph and now Barrie over London)

This team has talent and can outplay anybody in this league but if they are not mentally prepared and ready for a weaker team that team will sneak on them and steal a game like Barrie just did tonight. I expect them to be sharp for the rest of this weekend, but they paid big for letting this one get by them.

Dont know why they are flat in first period. Seems like its a habit. Needs correction . They cant come back and win from behind every time. Like what happened tonight

Positive for me from this game............. Getting a chance to watch Hill play D for Barrie.

Next up, watching Bulitka...... Oh and hopefully a slightly better Knights performance.

Their record this year has been built at home. They haven't shown that they can win consistently on the road. First place overall and home ice that comes with it in the playoffs could be big.

Maybe wait for the game to be over before you spout off. We beat Sudbury the first time we played them.
Right you mean that lopsided shootout win. :sarcasm:I say the Wolves will be hungry as...well a wolf tomorrow. Should be fun though I don’t like to play a team after they’ve had a bad game.

Before I get beat on for this post, I want to say that Keane and Hancock are very talented players.

I believe we made a mistake adding them to the team for the following reason. I think this team needed grit, sandpaper, Rupert-like additions at forward. I never wanted a Brazeau, Dellandrea, Suzuki, etc. I am not denying the talent of all but we needed grit at forward to protect out young and smaller (but talented) forwards. I think adding a Nurse (Hamilton) and a Gallant (Peterborough) would add size and experience, but most importantly grit. Also maybe OA's next year. Our D was already # 1 in the league, why add Keane? Great player, but a rental when we needed forwards.

As for Hancock, we dumped an OA to add an OA. Elite forward (Hancock) when we needed two forwards. We already have elite forwards.

If I coached against us in the playoffs, I would dump the puck in Bouchards corner and beat up on him in a 7 game series. Like Philly did to Orr in the early 70's. Big teams like Guelph are going to do this. He is looking tired! He needs to be playing 25 minutes a night not 30+. Save that for the playoffs not the regular season. Who cares if we get 100, 105,110 points. Playoffs is what counts. Make trades to add for D for next year. Forwards will be amazing next year, just need to add D.

Just my two bit opinion.

cant believe we got beat by FREAKIN Barrie..wow sky is falling

Teams have bad games...teams also don't show up for every game. Both happened last night. Hats off to Barrie, they had a game plan to muddy the lanes and make life difficult for the Knights and they executed to perfection. That and they got some solid work in net.

Full marks to Barrie on the W

Like I said in a pervious post...if London tries to match trench work and body battles with larger teams, they are going to get their asses powdered. Stick to the skating game. Force your own chances with your legs.

These types of losses you learn from, I expect a much better effort through the remainder of this trip

It was fun way back when beating teams your with fists were accepted, but forget all that now the 70's is long gone as you now need to evolve with the transformation of the game since then. If your team is fast and small uses your speed, if you are bigger and slower try to slow down the faster teams with your size. But both team styles should not try to play the other team's way when they are not built for it, as it will only trow them off their game plans like what happened to London last night in Barrie when they handed them a big momentum gift in their first period.

Just one problem ,Barrie is Not a bigger team than the Knights.
You will see a truly bigger team tonight in the Wolves from the net to the forwards.
Speed Must be used every shift tonight.
