It's a slow hockey news day, so...

What would the Red Wings trade for Andrei Loktionov? He's listed as 5'10'', 180 lbs centre, 15 games with Manchester in the AHL, has 15 points in 15 games. Touted as a top 6 centre, which, IMO, the Red Wings are missing in the system. Sure, there's Nyquist, who CAN play centre, Jarnkrok, who is penciled in as the next top-line centre, Sheahan who is more of a 3rd line centre and after that, there's a big drop-off.

Maybe I'm over-analyzing it, but something around Pulkinnen could be good, right?

I would be more interested in 6'3 Loktionov.

Because we have 5'11 Zetterberg, 5'11 Järnkrok and 5'11 Helm in the near future center core.

He's stuck under Richards, Carter, Kopitar, Stoll and plays better in an offensive setting. I know he's small-ish, but is there a better / bigger C prospect out there that could be had?

Meh.

I'm against the idea of getting 350th forward to this team. We have more than enough F's especially small ones.

Would rather use assets to get upgrade on D.

Our C depth isn't that bad and could/will get upgrade from next draft.

I would trade Pulu plus one of our bottom 6 players for him. Im not sure if that would be enough or not

Wings don't need prospect for prospect swaps. But if they could do prospects for a legit top6 forward swap, I'd look at it.

Id make a trade for scott harrington. He is the type of prospect we dont really have. Physical, decent size, reliable in his own end
