Would love to see a game where Caps just blow it open.

They’ve been winning a lot - but almost all of them close/hard work/grind it out wins.

Would be nice to just see them crush it for a game and put on a beating.

275 games for Mike Green as a Red Wing. 134 points for them. Under .5 ppg and this year 4 points in 20 games...

For Caps Green player in 575 games and had 360 points.

For a D guy who is offensive minded and below average defensively - they got out at the perfect time.

Blow Detroit out of the water. We need a stat inflation type game, no goalie battles. Go Caps!

I would. Offensively, he'd produce quite a bit here (even as a 2/3 d). The skill level difference between the wings and the caps in that time span has been astronomically tilted in the caps favor. I'd definitely take him over Gudas.

No chance. Gudas brings a nice physical element and PK. Maybe for Jensen but Green makes too much.

Green never plays, why would anyone want him back?

He has already missed 8 games this season. Here are his games played since joining the Wings, in order: 74, 72, 66, 43.

I can't think of a UFA the Caps have let go that I would want back, maybe Connelly but it's too early to say really. They seem pretty smart at getting out at the correct time.
