If Friedman says “I have heard Toronto is interested in Adam McQuaid”, that works.

If Friedman says “Kyle Dubas was eating pizza with Bryan Murray at the Honda Center, I would guess he is interested in Montour”, that does not mean anything. That’s speculation.

Okay, I did some research and found a few of these but I didn't look too hard. Speculation doesn't count. I've updated the OP with the ones that I've seen and that I can confirm as reliable.

I thought this would be a cool idea for the deadline. Sometimes we don't know what a certain team is interested in, or we hear from an unreliable source that a team is interested in a certain player, and it gets regurgitated to the point where we think it might have actually been reported by a reliable source.

So, feel free to post whatever players your team has been (recently) linked to. And only real links, so something like Elliott Friedman speculating that Toronto would probably want Brandon Montour doesn't count. And for the sake of fun, feel free add what you think your team's needs are and whether or not they will buy or sell. I'll try to keep it in a clear, concise spreadsheet up in this post.

I haven't seen any of those guys mentioned by reliable sources. Insiders speculating and chatting about who would be a good fit is not the same as them saying that a certain team has interest in a certain player. If you think I've missed somebody, go ahead and post the source.
