Speculation: List of players that a team has been verifiably linked to?

I thought this would be a cool idea for the deadline. Sometimes we don't know what a certain team is interested in, or we hear from an unreliable source that a team is interested in a certain player, and it gets regurgitated to the point where we think it might have actually been reported by a reliable source.

So, feel free to post whatever players your team has been (recently) linked to. And only real links, so something like Elliott Friedman speculating that Toronto would probably want Brandon Montour doesn't count. And for the sake of fun, feel free add what you think your team's needs are and whether or not they will buy or sell. I'll try to keep it in a clear, concise spreadsheet up in this post.

Yes, but the fact that San Jose was in on him still tells us quite a bit about their interests and intentions.

Toronto was linked to Kyle Clifford via Friedman.

Also linked to Pesce or Faulk from Carolina, again Friedman and I believe Dreger IIRC. For Faulk tho I think you gotta go back a few months.

Steve Simmons I believe wishes the Leafs would get Gudas or Simmonds, not sure if that’s a verified source...

Friedman also speculated that Toronto may be after Montour and quoted Dubas saying he liked Montour.

Months ago can’t remember who but someone was claiming Toronto was kicking tires on Tanev.

I think the Nash comment was more on intention. Basically that they want a top 9 winger rather than Nash himself.
