The Detroit Lions are an NFL-worst 1-6, but Jim Caldwell is in no rush to make changes to his coaching staff nor the assistants' responsibilities.

Caldwell said at his weekly news conference today that "no changes" are in store for offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi nor anyone else the team prepares to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in London (9:30 a.m., Fox).

One last effort to get it turned around. If it doesn't happen, Caldwell should be out next.

Golden Tate said weeks ago that everybody knew exactly what plays they were going to run. Lombardi left New Orleans for Detroit and put in an exact replica of the Saints offense, problem is the league figured out that offense years ago, which is why the Saints have pretty much scrapped it. The Lions keep doing the same old stuff that doesn't work anymore.

Jim Bob Cooter is the new OC. He's been talked about in football circles. Great name, right up there with Orleans Darkwa.

Dude was a fan favorite for the Vols and apparently Peyton Manning was upset when he took the Lions QB coach job.

>Jim Bob Cooter.

He's probably qualified but that name makes it sound like he should be a carny or something.

Lions New OC Arrest Records Vanish

Detroit Free Press said:
James "Jim Bob" Cooter, now 31, was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary in 2009 and with drunken-driving in 2006, according to previous reports from the Associated Press and The Tennessean. In June 27, 2009, a woman said he climbed through an apartment window, stripped down to his underwear and got into bed with her, the AP reported July 2, 2009. Knoxville police spokesman Darrell DeBusk said at the time that there was no indication Cooter knew the woman.

But on Friday, DeBusk said there is no arrest record for Cooter.
