The sim was breaking with the coaches considered, they have been turned "off" for this season, meaning they do not have an impact on the results.

For what it's worth, here's the file:

... which makes it obvious that the sim is broken in this regard. (For the record, Dave Tippet is not coaching both Chicago and Minnesota!).

Hmmm.. the Flames have no coach... well that explains everything!! I assume that this will be turned on again next season or whenever the sim is fixed. Do we have a record of who is coaching who at this point?

There's a historical file, yes. Our hoipe is they are able to get the bugs with v.5 sorted out so that we can move to that platform for next season, and reactivate the coaches.

Trust me, with Mike Babcock doing a fine job in Detroit, I'd love to benefit from the coaching...

... which is why I said Tippet is not coaching BOTH Chicago and Minnesota... he's coaching Chicago. It makes more sense when you click on the link.
