This is a very bad proposal. Lindblom had almost as many points in his first full NHL season as Puljujarvi has in his entire NHL career so far.

Lindblom seems destined to be that 2nd/3rd tweener that is simply a good player and can be held onto for a reasonable amount of money. That in itself is almost too valuable to trade.

Lindblom is also the player who does the dirty work in the corners, in front of the net, is sound (excels in fact) defensively, plays both sides, and thus makes it far easier to slot other forwards in the top nine.

I am agreeing with you a lot in this thread. Thank you.

So far Pool Party has been a disappointment for the Oilers and has requested a trade. Any thoughts about swapping Lindblom for him and Edmonton's 2020 3rd round pick. At worst, we swap a 5th round pick for the 3rd round pick we gave away in the trade for Braun. At best he finally lives up to his ranking as the 4th OA pick and we still regain the darft pick.
