Same. Felix was pretty good for WBS the last two seasons and I was hoping the Pens would give him an NHL contract. Sad to see him leave the org but I'm also happy he got his NHL deal.

While he's small he don't give a f***.

What do you think his ceiling is?
She covers our prospects and is pretty good.

I've been saying for forever now that Felix Robert in WBS deserved an NHL contract this summer.
He got it. With Tampa. Great to see him get rewarded, feels like a mistake by the Penguins to let him slip away. It's not like there's a lot of high-end prospects ready to take that step to the NHL in the system. I would have assumed that WBS' No. 2 leading scorer would have been someone they'd want to hold onto.

next Gourde.

book it

When he came to Wilkes-Barre that was the first player I thought of, reminded me of Gourde when he was with Syracuse.

Not sure if he'll pan out but they play similar style and the raw talent is there. Not thrilled that the Pens let him walk.

Yeah, I'm unsure of what his ceiling is but can see him being similar to Nathan Gerbe or Brian Gibbons. More so Gerbe.

Yes, the size played into those player comparisons.

Have you guys been tracking his progress? Off to a hot start in the AHL, the Pens really screwed the pooch with this one.
He looked like one of our better forwards at the prospect tournament in early September, but then didn't really stand out too much in the preseason. I've only seen the highlights from his games so far with Syracuse.

Obviously there's not too many open spots on this team each season, but the good part about that is there's no rush, and he can take the time he needs to develop in the AHL. Gourde (SJ), Marchessault (NYR, CBJ), and Verhaeghe (TOR, NYI), were all with other organizations before they came to Syracuse. Maybe we have something here again with Robert, but we'll see. Still very early.
