I was hoping Merela could establish a good long streak down there before we called him up and crushed any developing confidence, but I guess our bottom 6 really needs the help.
Merela was just a cardio specialist in the bottom 6 during his first stint. Hope he's better now. Personally like Goncalves more, but I'm biased because Goncalves was a 2nd round pick who I have more investment in.
Lightning @ Red Wings scheduled for 5 EST on Sunday, while Buccaneers @ Lions scheduled for 3 EST on Sunday.
Wonder if they push the Lightning game back to 7 or 8 EST. Kinda funny how Tampa is blue in hockey, red in football, while Detroit is red in hockey, blue in football.

To be more specific, they would move the Wings game, since this is in Detroit.
Ford Field, the home of the Lions, is only a few blocks from Little Caesar's Arena. Google Maps says it's a 4-minute drive between the buildings.
65-70k capacity for the Lions and 20k for the Wings. It'll be a good day to own a parking lot.
Depending on how the pre- and post-game traffic works, they might move the Wings back to 8. You probably don't want Wings fans driving in while Lions fans are driving out at the same time.
The Wings may be able to do a Lions watch party, which would bring fans in earlier in the day, and relieve the traffic situation.

goncalves has a higher ceiling, but coop gonna coop and demands the grind. In that case I agree merela is the better call Up
Myers is just a guy and Crozier is inexperienced (looked tentative in limited minutes against Anaheim). Personally prefer Thompson over both, but we'll see how it goes.
