What a steal of a signing!!!
I don’t know if he’ll develop that sort of scoring touch (though I’ll be thrilled if he does), but at $800k it doesn’t matter. Even without scoring he tilts the ice whenever he’s on it, and if he can be a part of a fast and aggressive fourth line that can contribute quality minutes and swing momentum in our favor while not getting scored on he’ll have earned his pay. If he does manage to hit the back of the net with some consistency and becomes a good third liner and depth scorer then he’ll be a bargain for the next couple of years, and in the unlikely event that he goes in the opposite direction and sucks then his contract is buryable. Basically a zero-risk signing with decent potential upside.Hopeful he is part of the bottom 6 solution going forward. He has potential to hit 10-15 goals. Great signing.
One of goals at game five against Tor was on him,he missed his D man at blueline, but everybody makes mistakes I like this signingHe's kind of a mix of Paquette and Gourdey. He never hurt us while on the ice, never gave up on a battle. Good signing
Good one. You're learning.Lil Dick Mick bringing that L D energy for two more years.
Give him 2 years 1 AVVExcellent work JBB!! Now get Jeannot for 800k as well lol.
It’s a one-way contract but that doesn’t matter - all it means is if we waive him and he isn’t claimed (unlikely) he’ll get his full NHL salary while playing in Syracuse. It seemed like our fanbase was already starting to like him. This team friendly contract will make him a fan favorite as long as he doesn't shit the bed. It's a 2 way contract though, so even if he does it's ok.
I misread the top post for some reason. It’s a one-way contract but that doesn’t matter - all it means is if we waive him and he isn’t claimed (unlikely) he’ll get his full NHL salary while playing in Syracuse.
