Cue outrage in Ottawa and Tampa.

Hedman has a case, Karlsson doesn't. Too bad they've made the Norris and Selke more about scoring than defense in recent years.

Eliminating that 15 game stretch to start the year he was ridiculously good this year. I love poke-check Ekman-Larsson. I feel fairly confident saying he has the best stick of everyone in the NHL. Body-check Ekman-Larsson isn't nearly as effective. The extra weight he added didn't benefit his game at all.

What Lidstrom actually says, if you read the original in Swedish, is that OEL has been the best defense man on the Coyotes for years, which is probably true :D

Edit: and that he's one of the new generation of Swedish D that have to carry the national team.

Well that is a lot different then what the article tried to project but definitely makes sense. No one will argue that. Thanks for the translation.

Both of those things are true.
