Eliminating that 15 game stretch to start the year he was ridiculously good this year. I love poke-check Ekman-Larsson. I feel fairly confident saying he has the best stick of everyone in the NHL. Body-check Ekman-Larsson isn't nearly as effective. The extra weight he added didn't benefit his game at all.
What Lidstrom actually says, if you read the original in Swedish, is that OEL has been the best defense man on the Coyotes for years, which is probably true

Well that is a lot different then what the article tried to project but definitely makes sense. No one will argue that.
