I don't think labelling people "cheerleaders" is going to lead to constructive conversation.
It wasn't me who coined that label but I think it's very applicable. For the Komarov example I referenced, a lot of people blindly defended it rather than criticize it - that's cheerleading IMO.

Or it's just a differing of opinion. No need for labels. Devolves the conversation.

I’m going to stand by my opinion that Kadri should not be chastised for his suspension last playoffs. I saw a lot of dirtier hits in the first round that should’ve been suspendible and weren’t. I’d rather Kadri take that (what should have been) penalty than watch our stars get run over. Obviously it’s unfortunate how it shook out, but how would the alternative look with Mitchy laying broken on the ice?

Of all the options available, this one really jumped out at me.

Team Kadri.

I’d rather Kadri drop the mitts and fight.

His head shot didn’t “protect anyone.” Bruins still ran us.

He f***ed up. Own it.

you think the Bruins would have eased up if Kadri fought?

No.

But fighting would be standing up for your teammate in a way that:

A) doesn’t hurt the team
B) isn’t a chicken shit play and gives the other player has a chance to defend themselves.

yeah and that specific opinion had no statistical evidence to back it up. Literally the only argument for it was "Babcock said so."

If you want to talk about devolving a conversation, logical fallacies do exactly that.

Yep, Hainsey is a major concern.

Essentially we have to hope that Zaitsev + Dermott are both good to go with consistent top 4 minutes, and Hainsey can slide down to the bottom pairing / PK specialist role. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Borgman passed Hainsey on the depth chart partway through the season.

Most of the things to be concerned about are nonsense IMO but we cannot ignore we are a top pairing RHD off where we need to be. I like Hainsey but I would rather him lower in the lineup. Hoping Zaitsev bounces back big time or we have the worst right side in the league.

At this point I am willing to trade Nylander for a D.
