people trust what they know, that goes for all aspects of life, you know what you are getting with a vet(usually) and you don't know what your gettting with a rookie(stupid mistakes). Not saying it's right or wrong
That's bad logic because most vets are on a downhill slope, and rookies can break out at any time, see Eller last season and beginning of this year. Also Galchenyuk has a legit chance of being the leading scorer of this team once all is said and done with 5 minutes less than Plekanec is getting. Obviously if that happens we miss the playoffs, but it's just to illustrate a point the way things are going presently. Some rookies you just gotta have faith in and let them play, and you can't always have blind faith in veterans either.
