hey gang.

was a good night last night, friends i and were drinking and coming up with french-canadian denominations for our Habs...

of course, in good spirits. This is what we came up with. We wanted to QC-ize every name, and keep some measure of sonority.

Needless to say, some of these are far-fetched.

André Marcoux 79,
Laurent Allaire 81,
Alexis Hamelin 74,
Brian Gallarneau 11,
Maxime Paradis-Hétu 67,
Pierre-Karl Soucy-Baron 76,
Alexandre Gallant-Chénier-Hogue 27,
Tomas Péloquin-Guénette 14,
Paul Biron 41 (d'uh),
Daniel Carré 43,

i think our finest one was Steeven Landry-Croteau 42.

anyways.... thats all we got.

have fun? =P

"André Marcoux, c'est pas un jeune poulet."

No, seriously, Bergevin called Markov 'André' during the press conference. Not Anne-dreille, not Anne-dré, but 'André' like you would call your uncle André. Only part of the presser I enjoyed.

Also...

Alexandre Gallant-Chénier-Hogue

...how does that work exactly? Kid was conceived during a threesome... :sarcasm:

I've spent the past 5+ years living abroad, and with Frenchmen-from-France at times... which lead to my losing of the Quebecois accent. This thread immediately brought it all back.

Tomas Péloquin-Guénette

Mon dieu. Reminds me of my youth in Ile Bizard.

It has come down to this.

Clearly, the threshold for thread topics has been lowered on account of the Habs not making the playoffs this year. :sarcasm:

This is the type of thread I expect in the middle of august.

Most of us haven't seriously bothered with this team for 2-3 months, I'm not surprised. I'm more interested in what august will bring this year! :)
