Had a great tournament last year as well. And has been dominating the swiss league for several years now.

But I'm almost sure there is no NHL-future. On one side he's pretty small, probably too small. On the other side he has a family and kids and is already 30 years old. He won't leave Switzerland anymore.

Goalies getting hot in a tournament like this isn't new. To my recollection, which could be very wrong, I don't recall an out of nowhere goalie in an international tournament turning into anything.

Genoni has a sweet deal here in Switzerland. I cannot imagine him going to North America to (most likely) end up riding buses in the AHL.

Finland made Jonas Hiller a star on WC. He got a NHL contract after that. So it's not soooo rare.
