Pretty cool how someone too slow for the modern game can be top 10 in points and top 3 in goals.

Playing with McDavid will do that. I seem to recall him turning Patrick Maroon into a lethal offensive weapon

He's a fantastic winger. One of the best in the game. Just wish oiler fans would stop trying to convince people he's a centre. Teams with 2 elite 100 point centres don't consistently miss the playoffs

People who cling to the "never got 70 points" line are actually saying: " I am not able to identify his hockey talent and do not think production rate is connected to talent, just luck matters. I wasn't aware he reached those numbers yet. Does pace only count for Draisaitl here? Because if not take a guess what Matthews is. Draisaitl is definitely not the most underrated player in the league. Damn good though

Draisaitl already put up 51 points as a 20-year-old centre in 2015-16 (in 72 games). He played three minutes at 5-on-5 with McDavid that year.

........and played with the reigning Hart winner. Seems to always put up points with elite players on his line. Shocking, I know.

Yes, but the thing is that it’s clear the oilers would be better off if Drai could C his own line. More than one coach has tried it more than once each becauits something, that if it worked would benefit the team. It doesn’t work.

Matthews is the most over-rated, on a bad contract, you mean.

If anyone on the Leafs is under-rated, it's Marner.

It's also a fact that anyone who isn't playing with McDavid, Draisaitl or RNH is playing with someone who is lucky to score 10 goals in a season even when they're lower in the line up and facing the proper level of opposition.

The Oilers depth is so bad on the wing that fans are actually furious about losing Drake Caggiula's offense. Let that sink in.

He also needs to be put in a position to succeed at center before we say he's a failure. People like to play stupid so they can bash him. It's not like the Oilers have a couple 20 goal scorers on the second line that Draisaitl can't put up points with.
