Lehner stood tall with a 35 save shutout in his isles debut against a talented SJ sharks team.

Happy for him with all he went through last year and over the summer.

Lehner will take over from lundqvist as best swedish goalie.

Always liked Lehner, thought he'd be an above-average starter.

Had to get his mental game sorted out, but it seems he's getting there finally.

Sharks with 1 OT win against the Kings to start the year, a down Ducks team, Kings team that really has not looked good, and now the Isle's.

Early yet, but probably not the start Sharks were expecting.

Good for a constantly bashed bad tempered headcase. Happy for Lehner!

Adding Karlsson they have to restructure / rethink their teams approach. I think it is too be expected for them to start slow.

That is a stacked offensive roster in SJ and they won't be shut out too often. What a difference already on this NYI club. Almost 2 shutouts in the first 3 games. This is not last years Islanders team who gave up a ton of goals. Keep it up Lehner, welcome to NY.

So much more structure. Amazing what real coaching can do. So far the Canes,Preds, and now sharks have had way better Defensman than us and we’ve been in every game strife for stride.

Now it’s Lous job to add some better players in the backend.

Its not as bad as corsi. You can have terrible corsi numbers but not be on the ice for any goals against.
Plus/minus tells you a bit more.

I think people just have a hard time realizing that Karlsson isn't a very good defenseman.

Awesome. I'm really rooting hard for him after reading his Player Tribune article. The poor guy has had to overcome a lot.
