Left hand d-man playing on right side?

you tend to want lefties to play left and righties right, although in minor hockey there tends to be more left handed d men then right so lefties tend to know how to play there off side more then righties, power plays are when players normally switch sides because of one timers ect, and dont have to pick puck up on bored by blue line(normally a good pass when on pp)
