There is ZERO .. ZERO reasons and/or positives for Sly and Laval staff .

1 playoff appearance
No development .. Hudon ?
Our stats were horrific last year
Including Defense which is what Sly specializes in .

It would be an embarassement for promotion ... What has he done to derserve it .

We should be looking into Pascal Vincent , Dom Ducharme or other young Coaches for Laval and Claudes assistants .

If we need this language rule then we need to start having viable replacements in the pipeline .

Nothing to do with language. Bergevin can speak neither French, nor English properly. Has everything to do with being a close friend of Bergevin and Geoff won't put an end to it. Simple as that.

Giving Lefevbre a promotion would be a huge mistake. He was NOT a good ass coach he Colorado

It would.probably be better for the ahl because of the people replacing him but it would also promote a big lack of.accountability.

And i am not sure it would send a good message in the dressing room where we are trying to institute a winning attitude with a 6 year loser...

What you have to consider is that Lefebvre has the right attitude and that's what we need for the Habs.

No one cares
When thermo-nuclear war engulfs the planet, Carrière and Sly will be amongst the last human beings left, emerging from the ground with cockroaches.
And the band plays on.

So the only good point from the season according to Lefebvre is that their guys got call-up. Good job buddy, its unusual for AHL guys to get call-ups, I was expecting the Habs to call up some guys from the ECHL. Lefebvre must be a good developpement coach.

According to him, the teams got too many call-ups and they lacked character. So its been 6 years in a row of too many call-ups and of lacking character ?

Check out this article in LaPresse, it's enough to make you want to go back to bed and forget the whole thing happened.

It's in French of course, sorry for those who can't read it. But you can probable imagine what it says. The headline is: Sylvain Lefebvre confident for his future. Basically diverts all blame from himself and Carrière.

The more you read quotes from the Laval coaching staff, the more delusional they sound.

TRANSLATION: Lefebvre insisted that injuries to the Habs ended up sending the Rocket scrambling to no end. "Call-ups by the Habs created a big hole ... No one could see that coming. We may have also lacked character to help us get through the lowest valleys. It's difficult to have a big season when so many players are called up.

And, as was shown in the following post by Whitesnake, several teams had a significant number of call-ups namely Utica, Wilkes-Barre, Providence, Wolves, Moose, Marlies, Rochester and Syracuse and all of them had a stellar record:

Patrick Friolet, journalist on RDs, on Twitter just said that we have to take into consideration that the bad performance this year is surely because we have used 51 players. I just answered him back saying that 58 players played for Utica. Record? 37-26; 46 players for Wilkes-Barre Record? 44-22; 43 to Providence, record? 44-26. 44 for the Wolves, record? 42-22; 42 for the Moose, record? 41-26, 46 for the Marlies, record? 53-18; 45 to Rochester, record? 37-22; 48 to Syracuse, record? 46-22

The length some idiots and misinformed people go......

And the idiot coach in Laval seems to have taken notes from the bigger imbecile nepotist who outranks him, by making sure to throw in how lack of character may have played a part. Enough with this charade, somebody in ownership do something.

The AHL is both a development league and a feeder system. Hockey and injuries go hand in hand, of course you're going to get a lot of call-ups. What BS is he spewing. Lefebvre is the same guy who complained that the team lost its momentum when a game was interrupted on account of a teddybear toss event. The guy will stop at nothing to manufacture excuses. Bad attitude. Buy him some better food and kick his ass outta here.
