Literally the only prospects that have panned out even remotely the way the Habs have hoped are the ones that didn't develop in the AHL. Chucky, Gallagher (who played half a year and was inexplicably worse in the AHL than in the NHL during the SAME season) and Lehkonen. That's insane. Scherbak, McCarron, Beaulieu, Andrighetto, DLR, etc. all just spun there wheels.

Bergevin has been GM for 5 years and promised to build through the draft. Well, the pipeline is almost bare and most top prospects are simply spinning their wheels. SOMEONE should be held accountable.

No development problem, no scouting problem, no problem. Everything is fine people. Everybody in the league makes mistakes.

And when there is a problem the only person to blame is the player. This is literal insanity. Pre-Babcock Maple Leafs 2.0.

Beaulieu is literally the best product of our development system lol and its by a ridiculously large margin too.

He can't even get an assistant coaching position in the NHL elsewhere after 5 years. What a goddamn bum.

Dominique Ducharme just twiddling his thumbs back home. Such a stupid move.

Must be Marc's good buddy.

Legitimately makes no sense otherwise. Guy is the WORST head coach in North American professional hockey without question.

This is baffling.

And all this again, came as Sylvain Lefebvre himself, one of the worst coach in the history of this franchise, TOLD the Habs to wait the **** up for him, that they weren't his first choice, that he had to see what was out there, and would come back when and if it pleases him.

Geez, would people be surprise if Lefebvre is even able to get a 3 or 5 year contract out of Bergevin?

Gallagher (who played half a year and was inexplicably worse in the AHL than in the NHL during the SAME season)

It's something that still puzzle me to this day.

2012-2013

Gallagher in the AHL 0.27 gpg / 0.55 ppg
Gallagher in the NHL 0.34 gpg / 0.63 ppg

From what i can recall Gallagher played a lot of his games in the NHL on a 3rd line with Prust and a 19 years old AG. Back then guys like Patch, Gionta, Ryder and Bourque were higher on the depth chart anyway at the beginning of the season.

It's not like he played 18 minutes a game on a 1st line in the NHL. He played 3rd line minutes (13:51 8th on the team among forwards) with good but not extraordinary player pretty much all season.

How could he not dominate the AHL? Stephane Chaput was pretty near as good as him??? Gabriel Dumont who was only 1 year older had a better ppg than him in the AHL ... a guy like him should have totally dominated the AHL day one. He did not.

It's inept and completely irresponsible. Go Bergevin! Please...

I'd have good money on Lefebvre being our head coach right now if it weren't for Claude Julien's availability.

Let that one sink in.

No surprises here. The buffoon considered Therrien a great coach. That's all you need to know.

I have a hard time believing this. It makes MB look so bad. Sly is coming back with his tail between his legs after having failed to convince anyone important that he was anyone. And we're welcoming a guy back with open arms who wanted something else ? What a joke this is.

Fire Timmins or fire Sly. We have so few prospects pushing to have an impact, this is truly unacceptable. Good prospects on ELC are the key to building a cup team. How are we satisfied with the current situation ?

I refuse to believe this rumor until it happens.

I don't need to let that sink in it's complete fabrication on your end so pointless to think about.
