After tonight there's 10 games left. I'd like to see a 5/5 split between Andersen and Sparks regardless of how far Boston is away in the standings.

Andersen starts: Mar 19, Mar 23, Mar 27, Apr 01, Apr 04

Sparks starts: Mar 20, Mar 25, Mar 30, Apr 02, Apr 06
Regardless of how they split, I'd like to give Andy the last game (MTL). There will be a couple days off before playoffs start, and if MTL is still in the race that will be a playoff like atmosphere as a prep game. The Habs will be all-in that game fighting for their lives, can't ask for a better playoff warm-up.

I'm betting they're eliminated by the time we get to that game

It depends on if the leafs have clinched their spot then.

If they're locked into 3rd (or heaven forbid 2nd), they'll call up some marlies and have andersen start IMO.

Switch the Tampa game to Sparks (there's a 99.999% chance that game is meaningless for Tampa Bay then)

your posts are becoming hilariously dumber with time

muzzin-rielly were on the ice most of the time; they are not ****ing robots to play 2 or 3 min shifts

You get to grasping at straws when your advanced stats religion starts to be exposed. You need the scapegoats and what not. Absurdities work too.

exactly! if I were Dubas I wouldn't move him either, having this guy for only 4m is a bargain

his game is is almost back to where it should be, maybe all that unfounded hate can be put away finally

But is he a top 4 defenceman? That would be a bargain.

Cant br paying 5-6 def those $$$ in cap era

Yeah, the only super-robot we have is Ronald J. Hainsey, apparently.

Last 3 minutes of the game:

Hainsey: 57:21-1:00 (2:39)
Rielly: 57:21-58:26 (1:05) - Zaitsev: 58:26-1:00 (1:34)
Muzzin: 0:00

Thought we paid out full bonuses after their rookie years

No, most bonuses are paid for players on ELCs. Leafs might be looking at about 3m in 2018/19 bonus money this year. The reason Horton is IR this and not LTIR is that Leafs couldn't afford the 3m carryover into next year with all their new expensive contracts becoming due to 2019/20.

My comment has nothing to do with this year's bonuses and isn't about them hitting 100% of their bonus eligibility but is about the team carrying forward all of their bonus payouts to 17-18

These are the same swings leafs teams under Wilson and RC experienced during the collapses. I think this team is too good for a total collapse but problems exist. Maybe this will right the ship.

#1 . Ron Hainsey @ +33

2018-19 NHL Hockey Stats and League Leaders - Points - National Hockey League - ESPN

Ron Hainsey is tied for the best +/- in the entire NHL this year... 33 more goals have gone in the opposition net than Leaf own when Hainsey is on the ice at ES.

These are the kinds of players a coach turns to when preventing goals against is the objective.

This is a terrible time of year for the Leafs to be playing pond hockey, very poor defensively with shaky goaltending.

The playoffs will be short if this doesn't turn around soon.

Missed the game, just watched the game in six .. Looked like a shooting gallery out there.

I don't even know what to make of this one.

We were good for the most part, we broke and didn't bend, didn't get many saves and carried the vast majority of the play and chances. Could have been an easy 7-1 win with some breaks

Freddy has been posting a .750 sv% range over the last 3 games.

The way he was playing the puck in this game it looked like rookie nerves as his confidence is real low at present.
