The shot totals don't really tell the whole story. The Leafs were dominant in the first period, but had at least 13 missed net shots in the first 13 minutes of the game.

Matthews and Marner magic continues.

Spezza putting up points and playing for peanuts. What a steal.

I still don't care for Engvall's game, but he was good.

Hutton was really ineffective, sloppy and had a number of bad giveaways. Not a fan of his game. Depth signing, so doubtful he'll get much time in the playoffs, if any at all. Holl looked awful with him as well.

Soup put on the hits, has super speed, but brings zero offensive danger to his game. Just has awful hands.

Leafs didn't really give Vancouver much at all. The game management gave Vancouver a gimme goal, but it was done after two periods.

Solid win. Rittich played decent.

Matty padding for the rocket. Sandin and Lilly looked good. A few more wins should get the top seed hopefully.

Go Leafs Go

Sandin keeps impressing. Liljegren was pretty good and made a couple solid hits. Hutton was ok. Rittchie didn't have to do much.

Can we just fast forward to the playoffs?

Bo Horvat is a good guy but he's a glorified Matt Stajan.

Canucks fans talk about him as he's next Doug Gilmour. He's so vanilla

Considering they were resting a few regulars, they played really well. Vancouver just looked bad most of the game and the Leafs made them pay. But the Leafs did a great job pushing the pace and forcing turnovers in the first half to get the lead. And a nice shut down period in the third. Sat back a bit but not so much to give up chance after chance.

- Sandin was good in a bigger role, kid looks really good
- Liljegren was solid and looks like he's ready for the NHL and will adjust nicely in a full time role
- Hutton looked good as well
- Nice work from the depth players
- The Tavares line was solid
- PK was good, just caught a bad bounce
- No PP's to complain about
- Rittich didn't give up any softies

Refs game managed this to let the Canucks back into it with that second PP but the Leafs held strong and didn't panic.

Considering each defensive pairing was new I thought they did a really great job with nice support from the forward.

Magic number for the division is now 10.
