All the big boys stepping up tonight. Matthews is just a beauty, Marner with that crazy assist and Tavares with the finish.

And Freddy... Holy crap, Freddy was a monster tonight!

Let's keep it going boys!

Well that was an exciting game in the end. Turned into a track meet. Big guns came up again when needed.

- Fairly solid defensive effort against a tough Vegas team (despite Ceci's gaffe). Funny enough the Leafs looked really shaky in those final 5 minutes.
- Matthews was good tonight. Looked strong and engaged and you could feel that he was going to score one.
- Andy is back into his groove. That's huge. He gets the basketball.
- PP looked awful at times tonight but they finally adjusted with player movement and came through with a big goal.
- PK was dynamite overall
- Marner and JT come up big in the end but they are out of sync offensively 5 on 5 .. Marner was good on the PK tonight. Hopefully Hyman's return can open up some space for them to work.
- Rielly looked good tonight which is good to see

It looked like they actually started to move around a little on that PP and weren't so static.

They point out the smart play by Marner to back skate that stick out of the way 50 seconds after it got there. No mention of the sly play by the Knights to put it there though.

For a team that a lot are hating on in these forums, with Andersen in net they are 9-2-2. 126 point pace. Perhaps it is not as horrible as we say!

That's a bloody good win against a team that's got a genuine shot at a cup this year

PP has some issues but the PK really stood up tonight
Andersen was outstanding
Matthews looked engaged
Hopefully that goal gives Tavares some confidence
The team is putting in a better effort defensively and we aren't deflating when things go against us now which is promising

All in all a good professional effort against a strong opponent

Ya, what, twice in one game a non broken stick we can’t clear and the Vegas player won’t pick it up... Is that... legal? At some point we should be allowed to swat it away if he won’t pick it up.

Much much better tonight. Keep giving that much effort, get the offence going, find a miracle to make the PP click and fire Ceci into the sun and we're on our way to bouncing back

Andersen took advantage of a western opponent who still thinks his high glove is his weakness.

That ****s a weapon now pacific.

except for Karrlson late on the PP who couldn’t get it into the gapping top of the net.

Just caught the end but enough of it to see Freddy continuing his hot ways.

Looks like the Leafs got a ton of shots too. Was Subban really good as well?
