Thought I'd make a decent GTD since we haven't had a proper one in a while and because it's against the Habs. Let's smack them tonight.

  1. If the Leafs Win, we likely face the habs round 1 - With the habs, getting ragdolled by the sens in their last game and the Jets winning. This is a must win for the habs if they want any shot at 3rd. If they lose it is extremely likely we get a leafs-habs first round. We choose our fate.
  2. Matthews 1 away from 40 - Matthews could secure his 3rd season with 40 goals or more. Only one away lets see it happen.
  3. Mikheyev, Galchenyuk, Simmonds, Noesen and Engvall - These are all guys who are either not playing great, players who are on the cusp of being replaced if a healthy lineup occurs or depth guys. A good test to see who stays in the lineup and who exits the lineup

Here's a great hit by #25 on the so-called "next Ovechkin"

Here's a classic Leafs-Habs Match- 6-0 Leafs. Boy Mclaren was a beauty.

A beauty from Matthews

Drinking Game

Every time the announcer says Caufield's name, take a shot. You won't last past 5 mins in the first regardless if he's played well or not.

No excuses, let's win today!
Go Leafs Go

After their Cup parade for winning the last game, I’d love to see a shut out or 6-1 type game here to put Habs fans in their place
Would be nice to smack them back down to earth. Friends who are Habs fans already starting with the bullshite. They were pretty quiet last night with the Ottawa beat down, hoping our crew delivers the same tonight.

I'm not sure why Hab fans think they're that good. I may end up eating my words but I think we'll be way too much for them

Least scariest team in the division. They try to trap 3 v 3. The only forward who seems like a threat is Anderson, a two sport athlete in both hockey and diving.

They are missing Weber, Gallagher, Drouin, Tatar and Price. Those are 5 pretty significant pieces. I expect a much better Habs team in the playoffs if these 5 return healthy.

Those 2 add something they're missing.

The rest don't change much to me. They'll be a better team by the post season but so will we.

Most likely Hyman and Foligno are back which will allow many different lineup options. Then Nash is in soon. Plus Andersen may get a game and be available for backup duties just in case.

Without even getting into defense and goaltending which I think is just as good as theirs... I have to believe that our forward group is just way too good for most teams to handle.

Leafs haven't proven it in the playoffs yet but I think they will this year.

Honestly, I get why we’re watching the standings, but I don’t care who we face because we in a class by ourselves. Each opponent we match up well against to my mind, I suppose the Jets could ride the hot goalie, but they’re a really flawed group too. Leafs should steam roller this division and I say that as a humbled fan of this tortured franchise. Bring em on, whomever.
