I think the Leafs match up just fine against Boston. Their goaltending is the only real difference maker, and our forwards have the talent to overcome that.

Boston is a beached cruise ship. Full of old people and shallow at C (sea).

It's not blind optimism because if the Leafs were 7-0 against Boston in their last 7 regular season games I'd still just give them a 50/50 chance to win the series.

Boston is a good team. So are we.

Logically, Matthews & Tavares should have an easier time as Bos is not as strong as Fla down the middle.

How and why we ever paid Willy more than Pasternak is insane. Either way Willy all eyes on you. Better bring your best game ever because we know Pasternak will be elite and killing leafs like usual. The first of the two 4-1 games, not at all. The second one was bad. But it was also incredibly stupid by our coaching staff to throw Woll to the wolves in his first couple games back. He was not very good in either game.

I think it depends on our goaltending, the rest of the team Toronto is better, we'll see if Sammy or Woll can get back to playing better.

The big boys do need to step up.

They have Matthews, Marner, and Nylander, who some say are future hall of famers, but their past performances gives cause for concern. Boston is a good team, not a great team, that relies heavily on their goaltending. If the Leafs stars are as good as they think they are, they should win in 6 games.

Boston’s biggest advantage is that their have two defensemen better than Rielly.

No they weren’t.
The first 4-1 loss was a goaltending loss in Woll’s first game back from a length injury, nothing more.

The second game of the two they actually did play poorly but that happens.

We actually matchup against Boston quite well. The areas we excel are areas they struggle with. We have a sizeable advantage up front, while they are clearly better in terms of top pairing D and in goal.

We will determine our own fate
