Just when we thought we'd have a fully healthy team for the first time all year, 3 more guys enter COVID protocol. lol.

Wanted to give
Bunting - Matthews - Kase
Nylander - JT - Marner

a try, maybe next time <_<

Blues are actually a really good test for the Leafs. They may have some key guys out, not unusual this season but regardless of who they may be missing those that will play will play hard. Plus Binningtons backups are quietly going about kicking some ass. We'll need our best game so far on this trip.

The team did miss the dynamic ability of Mitch along with his defensive presence, it’ll be nice to have him back

wonder when we’ll ever have a fully healthy roster though
I for one have a huge sense of relief Marner is back. He's going through a bit of an offensive struggle but the defence isn't the same without him. You don't simply lose your Bergeron and remain the same.

Would be cool if Liljegren could get his 1st goal or something.

At least play well enough that we can get mad about Holl being in the top 4 again.

Stack the second line

58 - 34 - 15
88 - 91 - 16
65 - 64 - 47
24 - 19 - __

keep it going for a couple games and see if we can create a Boston perfection line

But Matthews looked so good carrying the plays himself
He did, but Marner is still really valuable to the club

Like others have said, I'd be interested in seeing Mitch away from Matthews and maybe on the 2nd line. It would be a good experiment to try during the regular season to see how it works

Canada
Potentially Tarasenko, Perron, Schenn and Parakyo too

Jeez. Leafs have had a horseshoe up their ass playing teams that have a lot of guys out while getting lucky over Christmas with their own out break.

They need to take advantage of teams when they can.

Leafs Home Board
This current road trip through the USA currently sits at 1-1-1 record and was going to be a real good measuring stick to see and evaluate Leafs true competitiveness will get another good test tonight in ST Louis.

Going to be interesting to see which way the pendulum swings in this one as the first 3 games exposed some key and concerning issues and the only team the Leafs outplayed and outshot was the last place Coyotes a game in which they lost.

Blues are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and have the same number of points on the season 49 as our Leafs, but have played 2 more games.

Lets hope the Leafs A team shows up tonight, and plays a better game and leaves with 2 points and have learned something from the past 3 games.
