How do you think the team looks come playoff time, assuming everyone is healthy (other than Johnsson)?

Hyman - - Matthews - - Marner
Nylander - Tavares - Micheyev
Engvall - - Kerfoot - - Kapanen
Clifford - - Gauthier - - Spezza

Rielly - Barrie
Muzzin - Holl/Ceci
Dermott - Ceci/Holl

Andersen

A bit premature...this might the golf tour line-up if the boys don't bring it home down the stretch.

Looks about right but even though he is a solid player, mikheyev I will presume is going to be third line exclusive.
Keefe seems to like Kerfoot on line 2 and if it needs to change I bet it’s either going to be Spezza or Hyman. I’d be happy to be wrong though.

Love the fourth line.
Hate all 3 on the third line.
Hate as in Hockey hate.
Engvall is not a good hockey player.
Kerfoot is worse.
Kap could be good if he plays more with Clifford or a guy like him.
3 mistakes.( Not you - Dubas ).
Should have leveraged Kap for a consistantly tough defensive Dman or F.
We need lots of both.
We have the offence.
Clearly.
We need toughness and way more defensive awareness.

That is the first time I have seen GOAT and ENERGY in the same reference. Dude needs a couple Red Bulls.

I'd like to see Marner back with Tavares to get the captain going. Would also like to see Clifford given a more prominent role in the playoffs since he's our only physical forward. This way the offense is spread out over four lines to match a team like Tampa.

Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
Clifford - Tavares - Marner
Mikheyev - Kerfoot - Kapanen
Engvall - Gauthier - Spezza

Tavares looks lost without Marner.

Matthews can drive a line without Marner - maybe not Rocket Richard territory but I think:

Matthews without Marner >>> Tavares without Marner.

The top 2 lines would be better off as a whole than they are today.

Keefe kind of tipped his hand at practice today what he's thinking. Forward line rushes were:
Hyman-Matthews-Marner
Mikheyev-Tavares-Nylander
Clifford-Kerfoot-Kapanen
Engvall-Gauthier-Spezza

Mikheyev is still a few weeks away from returning (late March they hope), but Keefe has him with Tavares-Nylander. That can only be for the purpose of building chemistry for once we're healthy. I like the lines. Good balance

I’m tempted to keep Dermott and Holl together to recapture some of that Marlies magic.

Rielly - Barrie
Muzzin - Ceci
Dermott - Holl

Yes we do, we need heart and character more than these flyby stick checking non committed softies that we promote with regularity.

58 points in 60 games for JT is not lost. On pace for 32 g 40 assists, that good. No complaints with him for me at all. Playoff warrior too. Our top guys have carried us

That's on the low end of what I would expect from JT and that's just offensive output. I think there is more to give and him and Marner were pretty dominant as a duo last year. I know evenutally JTs contract will look bad at 11M AAV but I was hoping the decline would be a few years out still.

i think the decline will really start to show when hes about 32, so in 2-3 years.

right now, hes pacing for basically his career average, and he had a career year last year.

cant really complain about that. were getting exactly what we knew we were going to get out of him.
