holy shit you're not wrong our lines look so depleted of high end skill just looking at it compared to year's past but Boston beat us with lineups that looked like this. Let's get er done.

First goal against is Reavo's (75) fault mostly , he hits a guy vs. covering for the pinching D (Edmundson, 20).

For the 2 on 1, Lily(37) takes the shooter (very Rielly) and the cross ice pass was successful. Shot goes just under Samsonov's arm.

Goal Attribution:
Reavo (85%) - his man got the 2 on 1.
Edmundson (15%) - you don't pinch when the 4th liners are the forwards.
Lily (5%) - didn't prevent the cross seam pass.

On the fly opinion:

Reilly loses his man, Jarny didnt cover, Benoit caught watching, Holmberg with the screen, Sammy forgetting save the puck. Just an all around piss poor 5 seconds there.

Knies (23) blocks a shot at the point on his D man. Then he proceeds to wander off to Jarnkrok's wing. The pass eventually comes back and Knies' D man scores.

Announcers pointed out last night that Benoit (2) needs to cover shots towards the far post. He's also very passive allowing the shooter to head directly towards the net.

I watched the game last night. These guys are really a bad team. Its over in 5, a total waste of a season. Who re hires Keefe except a complete dolt?

Tre is just waiting for a top end coach to come available.

There is no reason why Tre would want to hang his hat on Keefe.

I used to be a fairly decent tennis player when I was much younger.

There was this older guy that really wasn't any more talented than I was, but I could never beat him no matter what I did. One day I asked him what was it that allowed him to keep beating me. His answer was simple, he just kept the ball in play until I made a mistake by hitting out of bounds, or into the net, or served up a soft one he could slam.

Exactly how these teams continually beat the Leafs. They just keep playing a safe game until the Leafs make the mistake and then pounce on it.

Last night it was a bad read between Reaves and Edmunson, a careless high sticking penalty and an unnecessary slashing penalty. 3 goals.

Years past it was,

• Kerfoot's drop pass and later high stick on Hedman
• Dermott's "spinnerama" against the Habs
• Galch's OT disaster pass
• A game 5 horrific line change against the CBJ's
• Jake Gardiner in Game 7 vs the B's
• etc. etc.

Just wait for them to f**k up and it'll likely get you 2 of the 4 wins you need.

It's structure and attention to detail. Or said another way, coaching.

These goals and mistakes are major signs of a poorly coached team.
