Have we set the record, for having the most must wins in a season?

There is something poetic about being done in many people's minds, then coming back and finding his form, leading us to a long run. I never understood dancing on his grave, it was always a reality we may still need him, anointing Jack based on not much was pure folly. Let's just hope someone takes the ball here, I almost don't care anymore, but Andersen is still the best bet.

Way to go Soupy baby!!!!!!! Luv it baby!!!!!!! Beat Jets in their barn. That breakaway save to clinch it in 3rd was so amazing.... showed that d*ck he sucks ... but more importantly showed everyone who was da man !!!!!! Can't wait to start playoffs with you running da show ..

Big shout outs to Gally and Wayner wow boys this is how we do it baby ... no one pushes us around NO ONE ... guys start to play bigger when there are reinforcements on da bench .. Wayner it was time to show who is da boss of that ice .. what a BS penalty da ref must have got scared pants when he heard ur words ... da look on Dubois face when u told him if he tried it again u would take ur stick and shove it down his throat and mix up his balls ... man he went white like a ghost .. but in new NHL u get a 2 minute penalty for uttering threats i guess .. to me worth da 2 .. he won't try again he is neutered now

And Gally baby dude keep playing like that man .. driving big Lowry in da head and knocking him out luv it baby .. don't worry if he comes back at you Foligno will drop him again ... keep it up man to me this is how you keep a spot on da playoff roster .. da Jets now now any of us can drop them

This how you win 4 lines all contributing ... Jets thought they take us up front ... well guess what Jet fans WRONG ... we got 4 lines who are gonna kick ur *ss in in muscle dept and on score board

Now a little rant ... d8mn u Holl and Muzzy ... tell Keefer u r burnt out and need a week off ... cause truth is u 2 clowns r killing us past month and it is u 2 doing all da screw ups .. every time u 2 get on da ice it is a sh*t show ..

all u idiots out there blasting me when I told u we need to protect Dermy should all learn a lesson .. sure he is young and he makes some mistakes but past 5 games he has been OUR BEST DEFENDER BAR NONE .. Holl is at best a 6/7 defender on a decent team and he will never go much beyond that EVER ... Dermy will be a top 4 defender in league for many many years

Luv da effort and skill from Sandin ... all he needs to do now is improve his foot speed and he is an NHL defender ... his lack of foot speed is very evident again last night as he was outraced by everyone coming back in his own end ... he will likely come out of lineup in playoffs for that very reason ... and you should all see da issue ... it is very clear and obvious .. come on Barb time to work your magic

Can't blame Rielly for that bone headed pass from Brodie man ... common man no one expects a backwards pass to last man back who has 2 Jets all over him ... stupid stupid stupid .. but 1 bad play from brodie is not a game and he was solid all other times

Get Lily in there Keefer and take out Holl ... and while you are at it bring in Hutton for Muzzy .. do da right thing .. we need to get these guys some game time and it is a lesson even da vets need to learn .. team will understand .. everyone can see it very clearly ... do da right thing

How is that? Vancouver can win out and if we win once, Vancouver would have 71 points and we will have 65.

You are correct, Reilly was not moving at the time of the pass (which was just out of his reach)

Campbell season save percentage .919, career .917. Not Vezina numbers but pretty good. We arent going to get anyone better than that for a few years. If he plays to his avg. great if he ups his game a tad fantastic.

Agreed. Brodie shouldn't have done it and rielly shouldn't be calling for passes like that when Engvall is standing right there.

Engvall also needs to be more vocal so Brodie knows to send the puck to him. Just standing there like "oh crap please don't give it to me I forgot how to play".

Dubois was scared sh*tless ... he went white luv it ... ref gave him a penalty for uttering threats .. it is new NHL .. u can't threatened someone anymore like in old days .. back in my day I would have taken his head and rammed it hard multiple times into da boards .. then let him stand up and beat da cr*p out of him .. and refs would have said to Dubois stupid move son .. don't do that again ... but game has changed

Brooks is no surprise if he was being watched coming and how he plays. It’s not a surprise to some.

There may be some impossibilities in there that I didn't look into. Such as if Vancouver plays the Habs someone is going to get only one point at most, so both teams can't win out. But it's all too time consuming for me to figure out. lol!

That's weird way to interpret those plays to me. When you have the puck with control your goal is to get open for an outlet, not glue yourself to an opponent to make sure they are covered. That's what makes turnovers so dangerous.

They could have done a better job in coverage on the first goal (Holl and Taveras) for sure, but its a tough play for Holl in particular with Schiefle arriving late and him protecting the front of the net. He goes for the pass intercept and doesn't get all of it and Schiefle just takes a quick whack at the loose puck.

On the Copp goal, Copp is Brodies man, Brodie has the puck when the play starts to go bad (his poor pass), there's no possible way for Brodie to get to the net ahead of Copp.

Either way, on both goals with better puck management by Muzzin and Brodie/Rielly neither puck ends up in the back of the net.

IIRC Andy had a higher SV% in last year's playoffs. No matter how good our goalie's perform if you can't score, you are not going to win.

I still want to see Marner and Matthews' clean it up in their own zone a bit more. Earlier in the year they were a 'comfort' line in that when they were on, they controlled play and not only produced offense but also shut other teams' down.

In recent weeks they've been more leaky defensively despite the offensive production. Be more protective of the puck and make smarter decisions.

I agree with that. It was a bad pass but it wasn’t whipped and Rielly was expecting it and did not look sharp on that play. You kinda expect just a bit better. Too bad Brodie’s pass sucked tho.

Like I said, Brodie put him in a tough spot, and to be fair to him he probably completely expects himself to make that pickup because most times he probably does. That said for me there is a lack of awareness on that play, even if he picks it up with him having to stretch out to receive it and Appleton coming at him fast he probably isn't in any position to make a play. The safe play is to know you're in a dangerous spot and just deflect the puck away and regroup.

not appreciating how bad that pass was likely goes hand in hand with not understanding what makes Rielly's puck moving so valuable.

Appleton was coming off the bench, typically guys that do that are lost in coverage and go unnoticed.

That being said, Rielly if the pass was accurate, Rielly would have had enough time to make a play to get it out.

Just glad it wasn't a mistake that sunk the team. Got the lead back shortly after.

It's not just the save percentage, it's the quality of saves. Hypothetically 2 goalies, 1 faces 50 shots from center ice and lets in 3. The other faces 25 breakaways and lets in 3. Technically the 50 shot goalie has a better save percentage, but considering quality of shots you wouldn't call his performance "better" or "good"

Freddy was letting in muffins routinely, especially in game 5, meanwhile Korpisalo went full Hasek on us. Of course we need to score, but we need reliable goaltending and even need the goalie to bail us out a few times when the D breaks down. We never had that.
