I answered your question. Not worth my time and you are sexist. You posts proved it beyond a shadow of doubt.

I doubt you have sisters at all.

It's funny, a few people have come in taken a look and instantly understood what I was saying...as for the rest of you...you do know the white knights don't actually win in real life, it's only in fairy tales where real life and results don't matter that they win.

and I will surely be looking for your posts because some of you are some of the biggest sht talkers on this site when it comes to the coach,players,gm...I am looking forward to this

If winning means being a ****ty human being then I’d be happy to lose. But my life is actually pretty great thanks and I don’t have to waltz into a thread on the internet and **** all over women having jobs in the NHL to feel good about myself.

Well I’m a woman who works in a male dominated field so I actually need to go work 10x harder than my colleagues so that no one thinks I was a token hire.

My life is fantastic as well but when I enter a discussion forum I understand that there can be some people with dissenting opinions. Get over yourself dude. Nobody is ****ting on women. Some of us just don't think it's is prudent or financially feasible to throw money away on an endeavor which the free market has already discarded.

Yea too bad MLSE went bankrupt over making a bunch of people whole in a sport that makes them hundreds of million per year. It’s just the right thing to do. Don’t pretend you’re a business mogul with specialisation in hockey who has done research to know that women’s hockey will never grow with the right marketing and exposure and that investing in it is a total waste. This is a small amount to pay that would help women professional hockey players keep trust in your future endeavours and be willing to play for you.

Nobody cares. You are creating this narrative in your own head. People are only concerned with what is theirs and how to support their families. Stop being so self centered. I work in a female dominated field and I don't give a rats ass what they think about my employment because it isn't any of their business.

Hey every one it’s the emperor of “people”. I guess if you’re struggling so much to keep your head above water I guess it’s everyone for them self. Sorry I didn’t know things were so tough for you.

Business mogul? Lmaooo. Read up about the WNBA. 'The right thing to do'.... Hahaha... Throwing money away in any situation is not the right thing to do. Are you a socialist? I thought women were strong and independent? Why do they need the good will of the vile patriarchy to prop them up? They should woman up, understand there is no future for women's hockey besides the Olympics and find a career that can support themselves and their own endeavors.

It’s hilarious that you think “womaning up” means not getting investment from NHL. You’re clueless.

Well me likes physical hockey so the womens game just doesnt do it for me.
As for the marketing, whos fault is that?
Marketing falls on the people who run the league. Mens hockey didnt start as a billion dollar business and certainly didn't need a womens league to do the marketing for them. So what is their excuse?

I actually applaud the Leafs hiring Wickenheiser. She knows the sport and furthermore she is a champion at it. I had female coaches growing up and I learned a lot from them as they played the game at a high level.

As for hiring men with no hockey playing background I have no problem with that, same with women. Whose to say there isn't a female capologist out there as effective or more effective than the males already in the league?

The cold hard reality is that professional sports are financially dominated by men because they can perform greater athletic feats. It is simple biology. People want to see the best of the best. Why can't it just be that simple?

There was some pretty good physicality in the game and thats a pretty good constant when it comes to US verse Canada. There were also some scrums, the rivalry is pretty intense.

Marketing falls on more than just the league, it falls a lot on media outlets not giving near enough screen time to the Women's games in general. I understand that is a tough ask as well because they don't provide the financial capital but it would not hurt for TSN to advertise the game they are playing on their broadcast a little more.

In reference to the bolded, that is such a backwards way to think. Mens hockey may not have started as a billion dollar business, you are right.; however men always had the better opportunity to pursue things such as athletics as a profession. Have you ever though the Women's game is lagging behind because of institutionalized oppression that has persisted for generations? You don't need to watch the games, but saying "what is their excuse" is just so backwards in so many ways...
