OK, fair enough, I don't know the history between you two. On the other hand, I have seen you say analogous things many, many times on these boards and I'm not convinced that they're always called for. But whatever, that's up to you. I will just re-iterate that these Leafs are nowhere close to being better than I want, I hoped for more this year I really did. Of course the playoffs are really what counts so in that sense the season hasn't even begun yet so we'll see.

I'm not upset at all. I've just noticed that you've made this comment along the lines of "it must be hard for you that the Leafs are so good etc." so many times and it's getting old. I think it's kind of fun on the main boards as there are so many Leaf haters there but on our own board, It's not really appropriate as all of us (or at least almost all of us) want the same thing.

I don't think that will suddenly change when the playoffs start. We just have to hope that Zaitsev and Hainsey somehow have a good series.

It's going to be very frustrating to see Bergeron's line get easy points going up against Hainsey when we have better options this season but refuse to use them so...I am just hoping they have great series.

one thing that's legit encouraging is that Zaitsev suddenly looks like an nhler again paired with muzzin. nice surprise development.

What's weird is that Zaitsev's underlying numbers are almost the same as before the Muzzin trade and overall a little worse.

That may be due to the fact hes getting buried in defensive starts more than any other dman though. Babs has really been leaning on him since the trade and especially since Gards and Dermott went down.

I thought you would point out Hainsey has turned things around far more dramatically in the last two months. Massive jumps in all his numbers compared with the dark days at the end of last year. I was really worried about him but am now far more optimistic.

again, I know it's rough for you to keep on being so wrong about these Leafs.

And those Wilson and Burke team's did make the playoffs as soon as they got good goaltending, like I said they would.

I thought they only made the playoffs the season that the league cut short, so they didn't have time to make their usual collapse until the playoffs had started.
